Seeing Into The Void

What makes a house a home? Four walls and a door? The people that live there? Or could it be the systems that you depend upon everyday but cannot see… of course, it’s all of the above, and more, but those unsung heroes trapped in your walls deserve much needed credit for making your house comfortable enough to call a home.

The systems in the wall voids, such as your plumbing, electrical, insulation, and ventilation are installed well before the home’s completion, and are only ever seen again when they, and you, are having a very tough day. However, those networks of PVC, conduit, insulation, and ducts can determine much about a building. Their material quality and installation will impact how warm you are, how stuffy your home is, and how reliable your plumbing will be. Important stuff indeed!
