Maintenance Clinic
At the beginning of 2024 year, A1DesignBuild started A1ANDALL, a nonprofit extension of our deeply-rooted commitment to giving back to the Whatcom County and Bellingham community. This nonprofit reflects our dedication to funnel our cooperative's success back into the neighborhoods that have nurtured and supported us.
As such -
Our Current Project is a FREE A1 Community Bike
Maintenance Clinic for the first 10 people who sign up.
Saturday, May 9th
9am - 12pm
In this clinic, we will teach you how to take care of your bike by taking care of your bike with you.
Event Purpose:
This community workshop teaches riders simple preventative maintenance so they can keep their bikes safe and running smoothly. The event focuses on cleaning, lubrication, and basic inspection.
NOTE: Bikes must already be in operating condition.
Learning Sessions: Limited to 10 Participants

Lubricating Drive Train
Chain Removal
Knowing when to replace chain
Guided Participant Practice
Removing Wheel
Repairing Tube and reinstalling
Adjusting Drivetrain
Evaluating and Adjusting Brakes

If You Don’t Have a Bike, but Want to Help, Here’s How!
Our nonprofit is set up to do things just like this for the people who live here. But it does cost money, so if you feel like making a donation to get more bikes back in action, it would really help.
For the price of a cappuccino or energy bar, you can be a true super hero.
Our Commitment
Since becoming a co-op in 2017, A1DesignBuild has donated over $100,000+ in cash, materials/goods, and labor back into Whatcom County.
In the spirit of transparency and accountability, we're not just discussing dollars and cents; we're talking about real impact. From feeding the hungry and supporting education to ensuring environmental sustainability, our efforts are as diverse as the community we serve.
Last month, we raised $900 to help PFLAG support the LBGTQ+ community.
For every project or nonprofit we fund, you can expect a thorough Impact Report released publicly that traces every dollar donated and the return on investment (ROI) this provides to our community.
